BSB Sanlitun: Be clean, think hygiene!

BSB Sanlitun have been working hard with one of our schools recently to make sure the students understand good hygiene. The parents association have collected, made and are in the process of delivering hygiene packs to every student at one of the migrant schools MCF works with – that’s 900 students! The packs have been carefully designed to include everything a growing boy or girl might need to stay clean and are accompanied by a thirty minute talk given by nurse Susan from Oasis Hospital. The first two talks were a resounding success, with lots of excited children enjoying practising their brushing methods on oversized models of teeth and happily clutching new bathroom bags filled with soap, toothpaste, brushes, combs and pretty hair bands for the girls.

By the end of term the hope is to have delivered these bags to all the children at the school, whilst also educating the children about the importance of brushing teeth, washing hands and generally maintaining good hygiene. Activities like this are so important to make sure the children get, not just an academic education, but a social and personal one too.

Thank you BSB for your time, hard work and excellent organisation!
