Yesterday, MCF’s founder, Helen Boyle, visited a migrant school in Tongzhou to pay the 9000RMB school fees for three siblings that MCF is sponsoring this academic year. The two brothers, Zhang Zile and Zhang Ziqu, and their sister, Zhang Nala, will have their fees, lunches and transportation paid for by MCF, enabling them access to education they wouldn’t otherwise have.
While we were there, one of the school’s teachers, Liu Laoshi, told us how much the 26 computers MCF donated to the school before the summer were helping the teachers there.
“It has made my work so much more manageable. Now I can write reports, store student records and plan lessons more easily. It’s been a great help. Thank you!”
