“New Year with Love”

On 25th February, I visited the Canadian School (CISB) this morning to discuss the upcoming semester with them (teaching, fundraising, volunteering) and also to collect 1350 RMB from Jane, a CISB student, who took it upon herself to do the following…

“Just recently, I started a “New Year with Love” sale. You said that the MCF needed art supplies, right? But our art teachers don’t have leftovers to donate, so I decided to raise money so I can buy art supplies for the MCF. I called it the “New Year with Love” sale because it was Chinese New Year and almost Valentine’s day, so we sold new year cards and pictures, Valentine cards, and the usual bake sale and origami sale. 12 girls helped me make stuff to sell in the sale, and they also helped sell. Now, more people are getting enthusiastic about helping the MCF!

It was a huge success! We raised up to 1350 and more!”

Thank you Jane as well as Linus, Ms. Eddy and Mr Walsh who all had great ideas about working with MCF this semester. I’m very excited!
