To celebrate Earth Day and World Book Day, MCF’s children were invited by “Daystar Academy School” to share in some activities relating to reading and planting trees.
The day was well thought out by the school, and centered around activities which were both fun and meaningful. Books from the school library were chosen by the children themselves to read and these ranged from science to folk tales.
As shown in the photos, the children took to their reading experiences wholeheartedly.
Following on from this, under the mentorship of the gardeners from the school, the MCF children along with the Daystar students helped prepare and plant trees that were native to Beijing to celebrate Earth Day. The perfect morning was rounded off by lunch courtesy of Daystar.
